Looking back, 2025 will be remembered as the year that challenged foundational elements of Drink the Link. In March, the question "what if some stops were skipped?" was asked and answered. Now I wish to raise more questions. What if there were multiple Drink the Links in a single year? What if Drink the Link weren't an all-day Saturday jaunt, but just a Friday happy hour? Can a single stop include a visit to two venues? Let's answer those questions to commemorate the opening of the 2 Line's two newest stops.
Whatever form it takes, Drink the Link celebrates two of my favorite things: day drinking and public transportation. Happy hour still counts as day, right? The main idea: enjoy a drink at a watering hole near the station. Join in when you want, and leave whenever. Drink what you like, alcoholic or not. I just want to ride trains with my friends, and your friends, and their friends. I hope you'll join in.
Arrival Time | Station | Venue |
---|---|---|
17:00 | Redmond Technology | Craft75 |
This station isn't new, but couldn't be properly visited during Drink the Link 2024 because there are no nearby bars or restaurants open on weekends. This time, that won't be a problem. Craft75 is on the Microsoft corporate campus, but open to the public, according to a reliable inside source. |

18:30 | Marymoor Village | Mac & Jack's Brewery |
Am I wowed by the placement of Marymoor Village station generally? No. Does its proximity to an industrial park help Drink the Link? Surprisingly yes. | ||
19:30 | Marymoor Village | Postdoc Brewing |
These places are right next door to each other. It would be unfair to pick just one. | ||
21:00 | Redmond Downtown | Redmond's Bar & Grill |
